FAN BIKE PROGRAM (pdf)
At GARAGEATHLETE, we believe in building the “ENGINE FIRST”. Although we do this primarily through the use of structured programs own the Concept2 ergs, we also love our fan bikes!
This program is designed to help develop a foundation in fan bike training. With up to 5 training sessions available each week, you will assess yourself on three benchmark tests:
20-MINUTE FTP (FUNCTIONAL THRESHOLD POWER) TEST
10-MINUTE TIME TRIAL
4-MINUTE TIME TRIAL
You will need access to a fan bike with a working monitor that displays:
RPM’S
WATTS
CALORIES
DISTANCE
TIME
It is also strongly recommended to use a heart rate monitor that will either connect to the bike, or that you can view in real time (on a watch or connected phone app).
Up to 70 workouts over 14-weeks (each week included 3 main sessions and 2 optional sessions).
